Acupuncturist, Therapeutic Yoga Instructor

Mona Chopra is a New York state licensed and nationally board certified Acupuncturist, as well as a NADA-certified Acupuncture Detox Specialist. Mona is also a therapeutic yoga instructor and teaches individually and in small groups.

Modalities used in treatment may include: needling, cupping, gua sha, moxibustion, shonishin, chinese medical bodywork (tui na), and instruction in breathing and meditation.

The range of conditions people come to address through acupuncture and yoga varies widely - from chronic musculoskeletal pain, to anxiety, depression, insomnia, menstrual irregularities, fertility challenges, support before, during, and after pregnancy, digestive irregularities, addictions, and all stress-related disorders ... to general health maintenance and preventive health care. Mona has a family practice, treating people of all ages starting from infants right up through seniors.

Mona offers a SLIDING SCALE for treatments, which generally last 60-75 minutes, and is open to mutual aid. Mona can give you a bill for services which you may submit to your insurance company (if they cover out-of-network acupuncture treatment). Mona is available for treatments in Manhattan (118 east 37th between Lexington and Park Avenues) and Flushing, Queens Monday through Friday and select weekends.
