Birth Doula

Annie is a Birth Doula, trained to provide continuous physical, emotional and informational support to the mother before, during and after childbirth. She is dedicated to honoring the birth plan chosen by mothers and their partners, and fully supports their choices after providing them with all the necessary information regarding their options. Annie is particularly invested in using yoga and movement therapies to benefit the labor process, and is also trained in breastfeeding initiation.

She meets with clients several weeks to one month before their due date, and is available after that point for phone consultation. She remains on call for when labor begins, and at that point, joins clients at their home. Annie stays on hand through breastfeeding initiation and is available post-partum by phone. An additional meeting takes place two + weeks after the birth to reflect upon the experience.

Annie has currently completed trained and is working towards a certification with DONA International, until which point she is considered a novice doula.

Annie accepts money and mutual aid in exchange for services, and will offer her services for free in special cases. She is Queer friendly.
