Dental Hygiene Clinic Offers a Wide Variety of Services

The dental hygiene patient care clinic of New York City College of Technology, located in the Pearl Building, second floor, 300 Jay Street, Brooklyn, offers the following oral health services to the college community as well as to the general public.

* Oral Cancer Examination
* Blood Pressure Screening
* Dietary Counseling for Prevention of Dental Decay
* Screening for Periodontal Disease
* Screening for Dental Caries
* Oral Hygiene Instructions
* Community Dental Referral
* Fluoride Treatment
* Pit and Fissure Sealants
* Radiographs
* Scaling and Root Planing
* Selective Polishing
* Follow-up Periodontal Maintenance Therapy
* Tooth Whitening

Many of the above services are FREE to NYCCT students, faculty staff (with valid I.D.) and to seniors 65 and over. A small fee is charged for certain services and oral hygiene products. There is a nominal fee to the general public for all services and products offered.

A Note from Rock Dove:
According to a Rock Dove Ally who visited this clinic, the process is to make a 4-hour-long appointment, and a
dental student cleans your teeth, while a professor makes the rounds consistently and teaches the students, using your teeth as an example, so you get to learn too. The visit costs $10, and requires no documentation. Cheap X-rays are available if needed.
